Years ago lenses were thick and heavy, but those years are behind us.
Thinner, lighter lenses are more attractive, comfortable and safer. The appearance of lenses can be further enhanced with tints and coatings.
An anti-reflective coating will improve night vision by reducing headlight glare, reducing eyestrain caused by glare from computer screens and improving the cosmetics of your glasses.
Photochromatic lenses will change color from light to dark depending on the amount of sunlight they are exposed to. They are now available in plastic, ultra-thin plastics as well as glass.
An ultraviolet coating can be applied to most lenses to prevent the harmful rays of the sun from damaging your eyes. A scratch resistant coating can be applied to a lens to improve its durability.
