What
we now recognize as SPECTRUM EYECARE was actually established
in 1983 as Jamestown Optometric Group with the merger of the
practice of Dr. Gregory L. Jones and the partnership practice
of Drs. Terry R. Schultz and Martin J.Costello.
Upon the retirement of Dr. Costello in
1991, Dr. Henry Molé joined the practice. A building at 608-610
W. Third St. was purchased, remodeled and the practice shared
the building at that time with Paragon Cable. Since that time
the practice had grown significantly, and in 1992 plans were
initiated to purchase land on Fairmount Avenue on which to
build a new office facility.
Our
new office building of over 6,000 square feet was completed
in July of 1994 and opened for patients the following month.
The office was designed jointly by Eye Designs of Philadelphia
and Habiterra Associates of Jamestown. Our state of the art
building was designed to be a comfortable and attractive environment
for patients and staff alike. Adequate parking is immediately
available and our walkway to the front office is heated in
the winter for the safety of our patients.
